Christmas Downline Swaps-Stocking

This next project was done by Micky Seerveld.  If you purchase our fabric, you get awesome instructions on how to make projects and a stocking is one of them!
She used brads around the top of it.  Now if I could only sew......

Christmas Swaps-Ribbon Board

This next project was done by Margie Slyck.  She said she was inspired by something she saw up north in Wisconsin and put her own twist on it.
She used a blank painters canvas and put our Stampin' Up! fabric over it and stapled it to the other side.  And she used red grosgrain ribbon to hold the cards.
What a super cute way to display all your cards!!!

And the receipent of this gift got all those sweet 3x3 cards as well!

Christmas Downline Swaps -Cute Clock!

I wanted to post pictures of the awesome projects we received at my December downline meeting.  We do a project swap along with having a nice dinner together.  If you join my team, you could be the receipent of one of these awesome gifts!!!

This gift was done by Vicky Brockman.  The clock face is a stamp and I'm sorry I don't know which one, I don't have a book with me!  I know gasp!  But she stamped it on cardstock and placed it on a wooden circle she had gotten at a craft store and she also purchased the clock mechanisim from the craft store as well.  WAY cute!!

Check back next week for pictures of more cute projects.
I hope you all have a wonderful and Merry Christmas and rememer Jesus is the Reason for the Season!!!

Merry Christmas!!

WOW, I guess my 12 days of Christmas wore me out!  I realized I haven't posted in weeks!  So sorry, but as most of you are busy with Christmas, so are we at the Scherzer household!

Sage and I along with my sweet husband, Edwin, made all these Santa boxes for Sage's class.  She hand wrote everyone's name on the brim of the hat and we filled with a toy and a Reese PB cup.

12 Days of Christmas-Day Twelve!

So sorry, this didn't post yesterday!!!

We had our downline meeting last week and this was the project we did for our make and take.  Its so stinking cute and EASY!!  We used the Bitty Box die with the Big Shot and the Polka Dots embossing folder to texture his beard, mustache and hat.  I got the idea from 2 different people and I kind of combined what they both did for the supplies I had.

Punches used are Ornament for beard, just cut off the top.  Bird punch for moustache, 1/2" circle punch for nose and hat tassle.  The rim of the hat is the wide oval punch.  I used the owl punch for his eyes and of course the white gel pen.
I'll be making a bunch of these for Sage's class.

Have a great day!!!

12 Days of Christmas-Day Eleven

I pulled this card out of my archives!  I made it for a Christmas card class I did last year.  Its the stamp set Tree Trimmings using Brocade Blue (retired) ink and shimmer paint.  I just love how that looks.  You ink up your stamp as you normally would and daub on shimmer paint and you get a gorgeous look.  And of course the embossing folder is Petals a Plenty.  The ribbon is also retired, but I figured it might just give you inspiration!  And the Merry Christmas is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.

12 Days of Christmas-Day Ten

A customer of mine shared this card with me last year, she received in a swap with other demonstrators, so I don't know the artist but I know its a demo in Wisconsin!  You can see that she used the Delightful Decorations set along with the coordinating punch and wheel.  Super easy!

12 Days of Christmas-Day Nine

We made this card last month for my workshops.  Its using the Big Shot and Petals a Plenty.  I cut out a cardboard frame to get the middle smooth.  But I've read lots of people do it by buying those thin wooden frames you can get at a craft store.
I used Cherry Cobbler (quickly becoming my favorite) and Old Olive as a layer.  The saying is from All Holidays.  And I really like the silver tinsel we are selling in the Holiday Mini, so decided to use some of it on this card.
Simple but fun.

12 Days of Christmas-Day Eight

This is one of those crazy cards with all the folds and YIKES, not sure I can even try to do it again.  It turned out really nice, but I tend to go for easy and too much of my brain power was used! :0)

Real read cardstock was used along with the stamp set Contempo Christmas.

12 Days of Christmas-Day Seven

I just love Christmas, its my favorite holiday!  Here's another card from the shoebox swap.  Again, I don't know the artist.  But its a 6x3 card using the Paisley prints from the Holiday Mini and the Merry Christmas is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.  I LOVE that stamp set.  Colors used are Always Artichoke and Cherry Cobbler.

12 Days of Christmas-Day Six

This next card is from Susan Conti.  She used the hostess stamp set, Northern Hearts and she too used Rhinestones from SU! in the middle of the card.  The embossing folder used is Vintage Wallpaper.  I think we ALL might be addicted to those things!  She also used the Pinking Hearts border punch and Sincere Salutations stamp set.  Cardstock and ink used is Real Red.  Great card!

12 Days of Christmas-Day Five

This next card is from my upline, Tara Bazata.  I just love that she added the bling on the ornament.  Its hard to see but its a little crystal where the ornament cap would be. And of course the embossing folder from the mini is Northern Flurry.  I really love the simple colors of this card, Marina Mist and Whisper White.

12 Days of Christmas-Day Four

Card #4 is also artist unknown.  I sure would like to give some credit!  Please, if any of these belong to you, please leave a comment!

Stamp set used is Come to Bethlehem and ink used is Night of Navy.  As you can see another one of those groovy embossing folders was used, this one is Vintage Wallpaper.  Cardstock used is Sahara Sand, Very Vanilla and Night of Navy.  Punches used are Ticket Corner Punch and the Modern Label.

12 Days of Christmas-Day Three

Card #3 is so stinking cute!  Again, I don't know the artist, but please shout out if its you!
The Santa is just perfect, he's the Santa from the stamp set "Jolly Old Saint Nick" in the Holiday Mini.
His hat brim is filled with glitter and she put just a little rosiness to his checks. Cardstock used is Real Red and Whisper White along the Designer Series Paper Candy Cane Christmas, also found in the Holiday Mini. This artist also used the Big Shot but with the Petals a Plenty embossing folder.  Truly, you can't go wrong with those embossing folders!!

Times running out to go shopping for Christmas.  Go to the Shop Now button on my website at: http://www.robynscherzer.stampinup.net/.

12 Days of Christmas-Day Two

Card #2 is just amazing.  Again this was received in a shoebox swap but the artist didn't put their name on it.
They used Always Artichoke, Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla cardstock.  I'm going to guess they also used the Serif Essentials Alphabet using the Big Shot, to spell "Joy" and the stamp set used is Perfect Punches. Perfect Punches is one of those stamp sets that every stamp in it coordinates with one of our punches.  And of course she used the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dot embossing folders.  I love those things!!!

Remember all items listed can be purchased on my website at http://www.robynscherzer.stampinup.net/.  And don't forget to check out the Clearance Rack for some awesome stocking stuffers!

12 Days of Christmas-Day One

So I decided to share a Christmas Card a day for the next 12 days.  I received so many beautiful ones in a shoebox swap I did with my uplines group, that I couldn't keep them all to myself!  I'll start with mine.

I decided to go outside my norm and I did a 6x6 card, using Old Olive, and Very Vanilla cardstock.  The accents pieces are from the Designer Series Paper Jolly Holiday and the new seam binding ribbon from the Holiday Mini, Cherry Cobbler.  LOVE IT, the seam binding is so easy to work with!  I hope they come out with more.

I used the stamp set Bells and Boughs out of the Holiday Mini along with the new Decorative Label punch.
Don't forget the Holiday Mini expires in about a month, so make sure you order before you can't anymore.
All items used can be purchased at my website:  http://www.robynscherzer.stampinup.net/.

Rejoicing in Christmas!

Good Morning!
We've been busy in our house getting ready for Christmas, went and found the not so perfect tree the day after Thanksgiving.  And with the new addition of puppies to our house, they think its a great thing to chew on!

But I did have some time on Sunday to sit and make a card.  Sage asked if we could make a Christmas card and how could I turn that down!

So I received the new stamp set in clear called Rejoicing in Christmas.  And I was inspired by a card I saw by Jennifer Timko.  And this is what I came up with.

I pulled out my watercolor pencils which I haven't used in ever and did the coloring of the clothes with them. The cardstock I used was Crumb Cake and Chocolate Chip.  On the Crumb Cake I ran it through the Big Shot with the Petals a Plenty.  I think I'll have to make a few tweeks to it before we do it at club this month but for the most part, I really like it.

Starting tomorrow, I'll be showing you some cards I received in a Shoebox Swap that I did with my upline this month.  So many talented gals!

Remember today is the last day to take advantage of the Online Spectacular!!!  Lots of great deals for Christmas.  And its the last day to receive the starter kit for 50% off!!!  Go to my website: http://www.robynscherzer.stampinup.net/ and sign up TODAY.  You'll need the code word:  wisconsin

Double Trouble!

Well, I'm shocked to say the least that I have not posted on my own blog in almost 2 weeks.  I HOPE some of you were wondering where I went!  :0)

I have been a very busy person........as you will see by my photos below.  I'm not exactly sure what came over me but we have TWO new additions to our little family.

Meet Murphy (on the left) and Marley.  They are what is now known as "Boxadors".  I find that very funny, that just because a boxer and a lab got together by mistake, we have 2 "designer" dogs!  I believe my mom's generation would call them "mutts".  They are so stinking cute and so full of the dickens.  The first night when I was awakened at 2 in the morning, I had to wonder what the heck I had done!  And yes, it can only be blamed on me, I was only to suppose to get one, but I couldn't take the brothers away from each other.

Needless to say, we have one very happy little girl.....

I did however manage to get some crafting time in and made this cute Reindeer mints out of the Owl Punch and Snowflake punch.

Now aren't you sad you didn't buy that owl punch?  It has super crafting powers!!  More projects tomorrow.

OH and don't forget to take advantage of the starter kit special for only $87.50 through November 30, 2010.  You'll receive over $300 in products for about 75% off retail!  Now that's a deal!!  Go to http://www.robynscherzer.stampinup.net/ and the join now button with the code: wisconsin and you'll be in crafting heaven!!!

Leaves Are Falling...

Thanksgiving is just zooming towards us.....and I wanted to share what I'll be doing for a table place card this year.  Super simple but your guests will be like WOW, you are amazing!

I used the stamp set Falling Leaves, with the Teeny Tiny Wishes for the Happy Thanksgiving.  Colors used were Chocolate Chip, More Mustard and Cajun Craze.  I took two tags that I cut out with the Big Shot with the Bigz Die Two Tags and Crumb Cake cardstock.  I created a little "tent" tied it with natural hemp and stuck a mini Hershey's bar in it with glue dots.  I would either handwrite or stamp the person's name on it.  Really simple.

It was a beautiful day in Wisconsin yesterday and we were out working on our yard, raking leaves and such.  Our beautiful daughter, Sage, was helping but whining a little, "I'm so tired", etc.  So I caught her taking a break in our Apple tree and just thought this was such a cute shot.  How could a mom be mad??

Tom Turkey!

Its amazing how quickly Halloween came and now Thanksgiving is knocking on the door!!
Just wanted to share a quick project.  I made this last year but they are so cute thought it was worth sharing.

He, of course is made mainly with the scallop circle punch.  I hand cut his hat and used a black marker for his eyes.  He was attached to a peppermint patty but of course that is long gone.

I used the Boho Blossoms punch for his feet and just hand cut his nose.  Colors used:  Chocolate Chip, More Mustard, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Real Red.

Halloween Approaching Fast!

Good Morning Everyone!

I had to post this picture of the finished products of all Sage's Halloween treats.  They turned out so stinking cute!!!  What I liked about these better than ones I've done in the past, is the bottoms are sealed and crimped so the kids can use them to put other things in later.  Stickers, pencils etc....

This next project was done by one of my newest downline members, Kris Thomas.  Its so cute and is going to work with me today to sit on my desk.  Hand santitizesr at a refuse and recycle company is a must!! :0)

The Bitty Bat punch is behind the bottle, you can see his little wings sticking out.  These cute hand santitizers were from Bath and Body Works, this one is Spiders Web that is licorice and I saw another one that was Vampires Blood.  Kris got the idea from this gal : http://pinkbuckaroodesigns.blogspot.com/2010/08/halloween-soap-holder-tutorial.html

I hope that works right, first time I put a link in!

Have a great day!!

FREE Owl Punch!

Yes, thats right a FREE owl punch if you host a qualifying Stampin' Up! workshop in November 2010.
I've been having so much fun with my new punch and all the different things, besides an owl, you can do with it, I've decided to give it to my hostesses for FREE!

If you book a qualifying workshop in November 2010, I'll not only give you this punch for FREE but we'll make this cute card with it!  And YES, this would include a qualifying book party as well.

I saw a similar idea from someone on Splitcoast but now I can't find her name...lost amongst all my scraps!

So please email me if you'd like to do a book show in November or an actual workshop!

Halloween Treats!

OK, so a few posts back, I posted the Spooky Box that we did in my monthly workshops and I said I'd be making them for my daughter Sage's 2nd grade class.  Well, I changed my mind.....

Sage and I spent a couple hours on Sunday creating this adorable candy bar holder.  I saw something similar to it on Angie Juda's blog and my friend Micky Seerveld had a tutorial posted on her blog.  Since its for 2nd graders, I decided using up my retired stash was the way to go.

This one is our prototype, currently we have eyeballs, eyelids and noses all over the place to make 30 of these.  I just wanted to share because I thought it was so cute even though my mouth and fangs are NOT perfect. So as you can see from the above picture that Sage has pulled out a Hershey's candy bar.  I better get cracking to be done by Wednesday.

Have a great Monday!

Spooky Ghost!

Well, I've had my new Owl Punch sitting on my desk for about a month now.......and I finally had time to do some playing!  I've seen this punch used for many a fun thing.  So since Halloween is almost here, I decided to try making the cute little ghosts I've seen.  And from inspiration from many places......this is what I came up with.

I used Basic Black cardstock as my base, embossed Pumpkin Pie with the groovy new Spider Web embossing folder in Stampin' Up!'s holiday mini.  Of course the Owl punch, punched out in Whisper White and Basic Black cardstock.  I stamped the saying from the set Grateful Greetings with white craft ink and attached my bat punched out with our Bitty Bat punch with glue dots and gave him some eyes with our white gel pen.  I thought he turned out pretty darn cute for a ghost!!!

Bat Girl!

I had to do some quick thinking in our house this last week.....our daughter, Sage is in 2nd grade and is very  into her school and school spirit.  Which I think is great, but this week is Red Ribbon week.  What is Red Ribbon week? Well its about saying no to drugs and each day is a different theme.  For example one day was wear a hat day "put a cap on drugs", follow your dreams! don't do drugs (so they wore pj's to school).  You get the idea.  Well yesterday was "Be A Super Hero Making Super Healthy Choices" and you were suppose to dress as a super hero.  So in my quick thinking like Mommy super hero skills, this is what I pulled out of my hat!  Sage had a purple t-shirt that had the Batman logo on it (as it was purple, it was Bat Girl) and she had a pink sequin mask (of course), but what else to do.................

How about a pink head band with Basic Black bats punched out from the Bitty Bat punch and glue dotted to it!!!  Viola!  BAT GIRL!!

Whew!  Those quick thinking Mommy super hero skills wore me out! :0)

Peace On Earth

Good Morning Everyone!
I wanted to post a quick picture before I head off to work.  I know it seems almost impossible but Christmas is only about 2 months away.  YIKES!  So we need to start thinking about Christmas cards....this one was shared with me from a friend and she received it in a swap.  So I apologize that I do not know the original artist.  If you are it please shout it out!

Its a very simple card but I think it works as it does have the 3 elements I spoke about in a post before.  The stamp it, layer it and embellish it.

I just love our embossing folders and she used the Petals-a-Plenty on the Whisper White cardstock.  The sentiment is from the set Four the Holidays and of course the ornament is from Delightful Decorations and punched out with the coordinating punch.  Very simple but very nice.

My October Swap

Good Morning!
Boy, I've really had a mental block lately, but I had to get it in gear since I have a downline swap tomorrow.  So since I didn't post anything this weekend...I thought I'd get out a quick post this morning.
This is my downline swap, VERY simple but I think it works.
I always make sure my gals know to do at least 3 things when they swap:  Stamp it, layer it and embellish it.
Those 3 elements will always make your recipent go WOW.

I've "stamped it" with the Just Believe stamp set in Pumpkin Pie and Early Espresso ink.  My card base is Early Espresso and "layered" with Whisper White cardstock.  I've "embellished" it with the Peach Parfait stitched ribbon and punched it at the bottom with the Scalloped Edge Border punch.
I didn't have the Peach Parfait ink (I know gasp!) but I think the Pumpkin Pie and Peach Parfait go together great!

Have an awesome day!!

Cookie Sheet Calendar

Good Morning!
Boy I apologize, I have been extremely lax in posting.  With the first month of school, we've been busy busy.  I feel like I have had no time to create.  But I for sure will today!  Although I haven't gotten to do that yet...I wanted to share something my friend and usual convention roommate, Sandy Kanapilly, made a couple years back.  A cookie sheet calendar.  She made it for an organized swap (which I wasn't in) and she gave me one too!  I'm sure she knew I'd whine like a baby if she didn't have one for me!  I was changing it out to October this morning (see I am behind!) and thought........this is so cute, I'm going to share!  It hangs in my stamping room/office and I just LOVE it!  Thank you Sandy!

As you can see (sorry the picture is not so great), it a cookie sheet from the dollar store.  Designer Series Paper which is now retired, which she drew a grid with a ruler.  She made headers for every month which have magnets attached, as do the numbers and I just switch them out every month.  She also has little extra magnets for each month, like for October the magenet pumpkin.  She used the crop-a-dile to punch through the top to add the ribbon for hanging.  The back of the calendar is big enough to store all the months not being used along with the extra numbers you might have and the little extra embellishments.  Super cute!

Just Believe

Good Morning!
I haven't had a lot of time to create.  We had to decorate for Halloween this weekend and just too many things going on but I wanted to share a card that one of my downline made last month.  Vicky Brockman made this and I just love the color combo.

She used the Square Lattice embossing folder with the Just Believe stamp set, they main color is Poppy Parade.  The green in this picture looks really washed out but it is Pear Pizzaz, along withDaffodil Delight.
In person the colors are very vibrant.
Have a great day!!

Apple Picking Time!

Good Evening Everyone!

Well, its fall time in Wisconsin, the air has turned crisp and the leaves are starting to fall........and that means time to go apple picking and of course pumpkin picking!

These first few pictures are from our trip Sunday to the Apple Barn in Elkhorn, Wisconsin.  I've never seen the trees so heavy with apples, just beautiful so I had to share........these are Cortland Apples.

These next two pictures are of Sage having fun picking the apples........

This next picture is one of the reasons I call her Silly Sage.........

And of course the Apple Barn had pumpkins as well, but we bypassed them this time for these cute ones from Stampin' Up! convention last year!

Of course these are the awesome Build a Bear dies exclusive to Stampin' Up!  They are used with your Big Shot and are so easy to make.  Sage loves them and makes a ton of them!!  Halloween is quickly approaching so get your order in today!!!

Good Morning All!

In trying to clean up my stamp room, I thought I should post some of the stamp sets I have that are retired and that I have for sale.  So here is a sampling.  Go to my retired page to see what else I have.  Of course you'd need to pay for shipping if you live a distance from me.  I live in Elkhorn, Wisconsin.  Just send me your zip code and I'll figure out the shipping priority.
If you'd like to see what any of the others sets look like shoot me an email and I'll send you a picture.

The stamp set on the left is Glad Tidings for $8.00 and the one on the right is Good Friend which retailed for $28.95 I'm asking for $10.00.

The stamp set on the left is Please Come, as you can see I've only mounted and used one of the stamps, it retailed for $25.95, I'd like to get $15.00 but feel free to make me an offer.  The stamp set on the right is Sweet Sampler, it retailed for $17.95, I'm asking $7.00.

Well, we are off to go apple picking, I hope everyone has a wonderful Sunday!!

Decor Elements

Posting a quick picture to show you what other great things Stampin' Up! has to offer.  AND my stamp room is a diaster right now, so couldn't take a picture of anything if I wanted to!

So we bought our house back in March and of course our daughter, wanted a pink room.....well Stampin' Up! sells these great Decor Elements.  Basically vinyl for your walls, apply super easy and just add that special something.  So these are the Ginormous Flowers I put on Sage's wall and she loves them!

Stampin' Up! has lots to choose from so go take a looky lou!  I have the catalog link on my sidebar.

Have a great Sunday!
