Cupcakes YUM YUM

Well, I didn't get a lot out of the mini catalog, but I did get a few things.  I got the new Build a Cupcake punch #121807 and the coordinating stamp set, Create a Cupcake.  LOOOVE IT!!!
As I said in a previous post, Sage and I love the Cake Boss and I thought this would be a good set for us!  Sage has actually told me that she is going to open her own cupcake shop and call it "Mamma Mia"!

This was the swap I came up with for my downline and one of my club meetings.

I took an idea I saw on SCS and changed it up a bit.  I just love that Glimmer Paper. I hope hope hope SU! comes out with more in more colors!!!

Sage's Winter Wonderland!

OK, I just had to post this. I know its not stamping related but I thought for my first cake, I did pretty darn good!!

Sage turned 8 this month and wanted to have a party with a Winter Wonderland theme.  So I made her a snowman cake.  Super easy and I think turned out REALLY cute.

We love to watch Cake Boss and she said I could be the next Great Baker!!  ;0)

Valentine Make and Take

At my downline meeting last week, Donna Marcil, did our make and take.  And this is the adorable card she came up with.

The paper is from the Ocassions Mini called Love Impressions.  You can't really see it in the picture but the hearts in the middle are the Red Glimmer Paper from the mini as well.  I LOVE that stuff, its all the glimmer without the mess of the glitter all over your face and fingers!!  And the Happy Valentines Day is from Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.

Valentine Defined

I know its hard to believe but Valentines day is only a month away.  YIKES.  Didn't we just have Christmas??

So we must start thinking about our Valentines......I received the following 2 cards in my dowline swap.
The both use the set in the Ocassions Mini called Valentine Defined.  And they both used the set so differently.  Both are wonderful!!!

This first one was done by Kris Thomas.  You can't tell in the picture but she used Crystal Effects on the hearts to give them shine and dimension.  Way cute!  Look at the clouds.....yep she used the scallop circle.

This second one was done by Roxanne Mandujano.  Using the same set, but oh so different.

She used the Love Impressions Designer Series Paper from the Ocassions mini.  So sweet!!  Love is in the air!

Beautiful SAB Swaps!

Good Morning!
Well, I had to share this awesome swap made by one of my awesome downline, Donna Marcil.
I think this card is really appealing to me because its cold and snowy here.  And it reminds of things to come.  Spring!

The colors used are Rich Razzelberry and Old Olive.  They look amazing together.
And what stamps are those??  Sale-a-Bration sets!!!  You MUST book your workshop today to get these great sets for FREE!!  They will not be offered in a later book.

The image in the lower right hand corner is from the SAB set Punch Bunch!  That sets coordinates perfectly with all of our punches.  This stamp goes with the 1 3/4" scallop punch.

The main image is from the SAB set Sweet Summer.  No wonder it makes me think of spring!  And the picture doesn't show it really well, but the Rich Razzelberry piece is embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots folder.  You know I love those folders!!!

Projects from Blog Hop

This was my first participation in a blog hop and I love to create but I am not very creative :0( so I hope you enjoy what I've come up with.

This first little project is a set of Thank You cards.  I've come to the conclusion that our American culture has people thinking its ok to not write thank you cards as long as they "say" Thank You.  I may be in the minority but my mom insisted it was the right thing to do.  And in my older age, I agree.  It really tells the person who gave you the gift, that you appreciated it enough and their thinking of you to actually take the time to write and address a note!

This project was so easy.  I bought the pre-scored note cards from Stampin' Up! and I only had to ink up the circle stamp once as I did the progressive stamping.  Not sure that's what you call it but that's how you get the faded look, just keep stamping until you run out of ink.  I used Marina Mist and the saying is stamped in Early Espresso.

Of course I stamped the envelopes as well and wrapped them up in a Marina Mist taffeta ribbon. Way easy and way cute!  Great Teacher Gift!!

This next project was using a Dum Dum sucker and SU! large and small scallop circle punch.  All I did was snip with a scissors between each scallop and shape with my hands.  I used Cherry Cobbler cardstock and Jolly Holly Designer Paper.  I cut the leaf out with my Big Shot in Certainly Celery cardstock and stamped the saying from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Old Olive ink.  I did use my crop-a-dile to punch the holes for the stick of the sucker to go through.  I didn't have to use any adhesive because with the sucker wrapper it was snug enough to hold it all together.  I think my DD and I will be making these for her classmates for V-Day!

And the final project is just a sweet little Valentine.  I made a 3x3 card with textured Whisper White cardstock and punched out 6 hearts, in Pink Pirorette, Melon Mambo and Tempting Turquoise.  And I used the same inks for the saying.  I rounded the bottom corners with a corner rounder and Viola!  cute simple Valentine.

Thanks for taking the time to looky lou!

Happy New Year!!

I know most of you are like me and are wondering where the heck 2010 went???  YIKES!

Well, I've been busy of course, undecorating from the Holidays, stamping and writing thank you notes, preparing for Sage's 8th birthday on January 5 (oh my that's tomorrow!) and getting ready for a blog hop!  Yes, you heard it right, a blog hop.  What I was thinking??  I'm not sure but check back here January 7 and start hopping!!

Because I had to come up with 3 projects for the hop, I haven't had a lot of time to create other than for the hop.  So I wanted you to know I haven't forgotten about you...and I looked in my archives and found this awesome picture of amazing projects!!!  This is actually the workshop board from Shelli Gardners's Workshop of a Lifetime for my wonderful downline, Micky Seerveld.  As Shelli and Sara were setting up after our downline meeting, I snapped a picture of it.  Enjoy!
